Foods and Nutrition Final
For the Foods and Nutrition final we had to post the favorite recipe that we made in that class and while this one isn’t very nutritious it was great tasting.
Oreo Cinnamon Rolls
- First preheat your oven to 200°F.
- In a bowl mix 1/2 cup light brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of black cocoa, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. This is the cinnamon roll filling.
- Then in a big bowl add in 3 1/2 cups of all purpose flower, 2 teaspoons of instant dry yeast, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- In a different microwave safe bowl add 1 cup of milk, 1/4 cup of softened butter, and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar.
- Set the microwave to high a place the bowl I mentioned most recently into the microwave for 1 minute.
- If the bowl is warm when you touch it you’re doing it right. Stir the ingredients in the same bowl until they are combined.
- Combine the two bowls.
- Continue to mix for another two minutes.
- Add in the egg.
- Keep mixing until the dough is one big sticky blob.
- Continue mixing for two more minutes.
- The dough should be more elastic now.
- Keep adding in 1 Tablespoon of flower until the dough leaves the sides of the bowl.
- Add in 1/2 cup of crushed Oreos and mix until they are well spread.
- Cover the bowl in plastic wrap and let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle the counter with flour.
- Knead the dough and then spread it out into a 1/2 cm thick and 12 in x 18 in rectangle.
- Spread out 1/4 cup of softened butter on the dough except 1/2 inch on the long side.
- Sprinkle cinnamon roll filling evenly over the buttered area.
- Top it with a layer of 1/2 a cup of crushed Oreos.
- Tightly roll it.
- Cut it into nine equal pieces.
- Place them into a greased 8in x 8in pan.
- Turn off the oven.
- Cover the pan with foil.
- Leave it in the oven for 30 min.
- Take it out of the oven heat the oven to 350°F and place them in there once the oven is heated.
- Mix 1 Tablespoon of unsalted butter in a bowl with 1 1/2 cup of powdered of sugar, 2 tablespoons of whole milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. After the cinnamon rolls rest for 5 minutes glaze them and put or Oreo crumbs on them.
World Religions Project
In 8th grade, Religion 8 class had us look at some of the religions in the world. The teacher split us into groups and gave each group a religion. Each group researched their religion and presented it to the class. My group made a google slides presentation outlining the basics of our assigned religion, Buddhism. My group looked at the rubric and what people would need to write down about Buddhism to decide what to present. I am proud of the slides about writings, beliefs, goals, and creation/end beliefs. However the slides about the founder of Buddhism and the history of Buddhism were harder due to the time between then and now. If I could redo the project I would’ve liked to learn more about Buddhism’s history because I know how it started and what it is today but not as much of what happened between them.

Farmer With An Interesting Story!

Produced In the Multiverse In 2020
On Earth, Summer is nearing its close. In the Multiverse, a distress beacon is launched. A local farmer responds and helps two Earthlings by driving them to dimension MAB-3L. However, later that day his truck would be stolen by the very people he helped. The intentions of the culprits, questions whether they really should be guilty.
The Farmer (who has requested his name not to be said) was in his truck working, when a distress beacon was sounded. He drove to see what was happening and he was told they needed a ride. Before they got in he realized one of them had a criminal record. He left the criminal Stanford Pines in the backseat with handcuffs as they drove to Dimension MAB-3L, to find a relative of theirs in the multiverse.

When they arrived, he left them to look around for their friend. They found an evil look alike. They fought in the back of the truck and the evil Mabel won. Then, other Mabel’s came to the truck (including the Mabel that the two earthlings were after) in hopes of escape. The driver was then kicked out of the truck and was sent off into space.
The Mabels were in a big fight against the evil Mabel. The good Mabels won. They then took the truck to each of their own universes. But while that was happening the Farmer was found floating in space and told us everything that had happened. When asked for a comment he said “I knew I shouldn’t have let that son of a %$!#^%^ onto my truck!” After this story we found the truck that had delivered the Mabels to their own universes only one Mable was left. She had this to say “I can’t wait to see my Dipper again!”
In the end, they escaped to their own universes. However, the Farmer is furious that his truck was stolen. Should the Mabels be considered criminals for their actions or is it okay because they were only returning to their families.
